Our Story

Starting CQF

During the fall of their sophomore year, Arthur Wayne and Josh Park, hometown friends from Millburn, New Jersey, competed in the 2020 UBS Quant Hackathon. After the competition, they searched for clubs to join that could cultivate their interests in quantitative finance. By looking, however, they came to realize the lack of any student organizations on Cornell's campus that could cultivate their interests in investing technology. So in Spring of 2021, Arthur and Josh established the Cornell Quant Fund to foster exploration of technolgically-driven investing and to prepare students to pursue careers in business, markets, and technology.
